Key Responsibilities and Impact
As a Conversation Designer at Google, your responsibilities will span multiple critical areas. You will lead content design for key projects, defining strategies and shaping product experiences. This involves understanding product requirements and user contexts to create flows, prompts, and multi-modal interaction patterns. Your work will directly impact how users interact with Google’s products, from smart speakers and displays to automotive systems.
You will also define content requirements and principles that guide AI response strategies. Staying current with the latest trends in generative AI and natural language processing will be crucial. Your role will involve collaborating with cross-functional teams to align stakeholder expectations and advocate for user-focused content experiences.
Qualifications and Experience
To excel in this role, Google seeks candidates with a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience. A minimum of eight years of experience in UX content design or leading content-related projects in a tech environment is required. Additionally, candidates should include a portfolio, website, or relevant links to their work in their resume.
Preferred qualifications include five years of experience working in a complex, cross-functional organization and three years of experience working with executive leaders. Experience with machine learningnatural language processing or generative AI and large language models (LLMs) is highly desirable. These qualifications ensure that candidates are well-equipped to handle the complexities of designing conversational experiences for a global audience.
Compensation and Benefits
Google offers a competitive compensation package for this role, with a salary range of $188,000 to $274,000 annually, plus a 20% bonus target, equity, and comprehensive benefits. The compensation is determined by factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
